Q. What is the minimum skill level for player at Titans Badminton Club ?

A.  To meet the minimum skill level players should be able to;
      -Land drop shots between the net and the service line
      -Fast, strong, and well-aimed smash with good consistency
      -Clear shots to actually push the opponent back
      -Know your roles at the front court and the rear court.
      -Be able to observe the opponent and find the empty space.
      -Can make creative shots instead of repetitive returns.
      -Serve consistently not too high over the net and  within the service line

Q. Are visitors and casuals allowed to play?

A.  Yes, new players are welcome to come and join, spectators can come and watch the game too.

Q. Do I need to bring any badminton gear?

A.  Most players bring their own racket, however there are rackets you may borrow.  Just ask the organiser if you require a racket.  Shuttlecocks are provided.  The owners of the venue requires all players to wear non-marking sport shoes.

Q. What do I do when I get there?

A.  The registration desk is located next to court 7.  The organiser is usually Ashley or Leong.  You just pay the fee, write down your name on the book provided, warm up, jump on a court and others will follow.  The organiser will usually organise games for you until you are comfortable with the procedure and you get to know the other players.  

Q. How many badminton courts are available?

A.  There are between 2 and 9 courts available depending on the number of attendees

Q. Can we hire courts from the club?.

A. No, Titan Badminton Club does not re-hire the courts out to individual groups.  For court hire see the staff at Melbourne Badminton Centre
